Urgent notice – appointment capacity 17/03/2026

We are currently experiencing an extremely high volume of triage requests alongside clinician sickness, which is significantly impacting our appointment availability. Please only contact us if your issue is urgent or cannot safely wait.

For non-urgent concerns, we kindly ask that you:

  • Use online self-care resources where appropriate
  • Visit your local pharmacy for advice on minor illnesses
  • Consider NHS 111 for guidance

Our team is working as quickly as possible to ensure patients with the most urgent needs are prioritised. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.

Important Notice to Our Patients

Our surgery will be closed from Wednesday 24th December at 6:30pm and will reopen on Monday 29th December at 8:00am.

During this period, our online triage form will also be closed to allow our team a well-deserved and fully rested break.

Please help us by planning ahead:

Check your medication – ensure you have enough to last the Christmas period. Many pharmacies will close on Christmas Eve and may not reopen until Saturday 27th December or Monday 29th December.

Use your local pharmacy for minor illnesses. Pharmacists can assess and treat:

  • Coughs and colds
  • Sore throats
  • Sinus problems
  • Ear infections (children aged 1–17 only)
  • Antibiotics can be supplied if appropriate, without GP involvement.

Use the NHS App or contact NHS 111 for advice and information about appointments.

Urgent Treatment Centres and Minor Injury Units will remain open.

Only attend A&E or call 999 for life-threatening emergencies.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We wish all our patients a safe and healthy festive period,
